HOLIDAYS IN GREECE
performative installation May 2012 in Berlin, dual channel photo-stream:
initiated by Vassiliea Stylianidou

>>> opening of the event

because of the different number of images in each channel (1: 125; 2: 104), the connection between the 2 channels change in each course.
in the random coincidence of images it always happens that pairs start a dialogue which will be lost and found during the continuosly differing courses.

HOLIDAYS IN GREECE
performative installation May 2012 in Berlin

How complex is the current debt crisis? What kind of paradigm shift is taking place in Greece right now? How does the rest of the world perceive Greece today? What kind of action may one take ? Sooner or later? Starting out from those questions HOLIDAYS IN GREECE opens up a performative mise-en-scène

an installation will be set up with works that create multiple narrations; a network of associations and interconnections, _within the installation, artists, theorists, poets and the general public are invited to send and/or perform a statement: an extended notion of a performative text that is related to greek/european debt crisis. HOLIDAYS IN GREECE’s intention is to translate the current crisis situation into a different experience of understanding, share and knowledge.
